Hydroseeding & Sodding
What is Hydroseeding?
Hydroseeding is a unique alternative to traditional seeding methods by combining a mixture of seed, mulch, fertilizer, soil amendments, and water. The slurry is applied from the mixing tank to the lawn using a pressurized hose. The Hydroseeder ensures that the mixture is evenly distributed. This helps stop soil erosion and leads to fast seed germination. Using the Hydroseeding process, sprouting usually occurs within 1 to 2 weeks.
At the beginning of the process, the soil is prepared to make the optimal environment for the seed and promote quick germination. After the slurry is applied, watering is a key component of the germination process!

What are the advantages of Hydroseeding?
Hydroseeding is an efficient and effective alternative to traditional seeding. The mixture that is applied to your lawn retains moisture for the grass seed creating the optimal environment for healthy green grass naturally engineered to fend off pesky weeds.

What is Sodding?
Sodding is the process of laying pre-grown strips of grass on prepared and exposed soil. Sod gives an instant uplift to any yard and takes 2-3 weeks to root. Many different types of sod can be used, the most popular for South Central Kansas and Northern Oklahoma is Fescue, Bermuda, and Zoysia.
For homeowners who are seeking instant gratification without the hassle, sodding is a great option that will make your property beautiful as soon as the application is complete. The cost of sodding depends on the size of the property and the type of sod required.
Hydroseeding or SOD?
Investing in your lawn is a great way to show pride in your home and your neighborhood.
For many homeowners who are looking for a way to improve their lawn conditions, hydroseeding is a great option.
The average cost of hydroseeding is 80% cheaper than sodding your yard and it gives you control over each step of the growing process. Most sod is comprised of only one type of grass whereas the hydroseeding formula can have multiple seed variations. This gives you the choice of what your grass looks like year-round. Hydroseeding is your best option for fighting lawn diseases.
